MOL Portugal is an independent property advisory for the Portuguese market, helping clients buy, rent, settle into and manage property in Portugal, and assisting with related setup services such as obtaining a Portuguese tax number (NIF) and opening a Portuguese bank account. General enquiries. When you submit our contact form or book a call, we collect your name, email address, phone number (optional), country of residence, region of interest and budget range. We also collect standard analytics data (pages visited, time on site) via cookies.
NIF & Bank Account service. When you purchase our NIF and/or Bank Account service, we collect the information needed to provide it. This includes basic details you enter at the point of order (such as your name, email, phone number and the service selected) and, at a later stage and through a secure channel, the documents and information required to complete the service. Depending on the service, this may include:
This is sensitive personal and financial information. We collect it solely to provide the service you have paid for, we request it only through a secure upload channel (never by ordinary email attachment), and we store it securely.
Payments. Payments for our services are made by the method indicated at the point of purchase. Online card payments are processed by our payment provider, Stripe. Your card details are entered directly with Stripe and are not stored by MOL Portugal. We receive confirmation of payment and basic order details, not your full card information.
We use your personal data solely to respond to your enquiry, schedule discovery calls, process your payment, and provide the property and setup services you have requested. We do not sell, rent or share your personal data with third parties for marketing purposes.
To deliver the NIF and Bank Account services, we share the relevant documents and information with the vetted professionals who carry out the regulated steps on your behalf — for example a Portuguese lawyer acting as fiscal representative, and the bank that opens your account. We share only what is necessary to deliver the service you have requested.
Identity and source-of-funds checks. MOL Portugal collects and forwards the information required for these services, but does not itself verify your identity or the source of your funds. Those checks are performed by the regulated bank and/or the accredited professionals delivering the service, in accordance with Portuguese and EU anti-money-laundering law.
We process your data based on (a) your consent when submitting enquiry forms, (b) contractual necessity when delivering the services you have purchased, and (c) legitimate interest for limited analytics. Where we share documents with the professionals delivering your NIF or bank service, we do so on the basis of contractual necessity — it is required to provide the service you have requested. You may withdraw consent at any time, though this may prevent us from delivering a service you have ordered.
We retain your personal data for as long as is necessary to provide our services and comply with legal obligations. General enquiry data is retained for a maximum of three years.
Identity documents, powers of attorney and financial information collected for the NIF and Bank Account services are retained for up to one year after the service is completed, and then securely deleted, except where we are required to retain certain records (such as payment and transaction records) for longer to meet legal, accounting or regulatory obligations. You may request deletion of your data at any time, subject to any legal obligation we have to retain certain records.
Under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), you have the right to access, correct, delete or transfer your personal data. You also have the right to object to processing and to withdraw consent at any time. To exercise these rights, contact us at info@molportugal.com. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Portuguese data protection authority (CNPD).

Our website embeds and links to third-party platforms including YouTube, TikTok and Instagram, uses Stripe to process payments, and uses Calendly for call scheduling. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of these platforms. Please review their respective privacy policies.
