We’re Mia and Rafael — a couple who help people move to Portugal. One of us made that move and built a life here. The other was born to this country and knows it inside out. Independent and buyer-side only, we’ve guided foreigners through the move since 2019 — and between us, we’ve been on both sides of the journey you’re starting.

“I know how this feels, because I felt it too. Before I came, I read everything — the groups, the blogs, all of it — and the more I read the more confused I got. None of it was really about me. Some nights I wasn’t even sure I was making the right choice. But I came anyway. And it was different from everything I’d read — some of it easier, some of it harder, but real, not what the videos say. Years later, I’m still here. I built a life, found my place among Portuguese friends and among people from all over the world who’d made the same leap, and somewhere along the way it just became home.”

“I’m Portuguese, born and raised — this country is home, and I know it inside out. One thing I’ve learned over the years: Portugal runs on its own rhythm. Relationships tend to matter more than rules, things move at their own pace, and a lot of what feels puzzling from the outside makes complete sense once you understand it. Sometimes it’s easier to trust a face than a paragraph. Here we are — saying hello, and telling you in our own words why we do this.
Why we started
We didn’t set out to start a company. We started because we kept seeing the same thing happen.
People who loved the idea of Portugal — and were drowning in noise. Forums that contradicted each other, videos that oversimplified, and almost everyone they met along the way trying to sell them something. Mia had lived that confusion herself. Rafael had spent years quietly explaining to friends from abroad how the country actually works.
One day it was obvious: the thing people really needed didn’t exist. Not another agency with properties to push — but two people genuinely on their side, who could guide the whole move, from the first doubt to the first day, and tell them the truth at every step.
So we built it. Since 2019, that’s exactly what we’ve done — for individuals and families from more than 40 nationalities, finding their footing in the country we love. Together, we became what this work needed us to be — the Architect of your Portugal life: the practice that designs your move and runs it with you.
What we stand for
We share what we know freely — in our videos, our guides, and every conversation. The more you understand, the better the decisions you’ll make. That comes before anything else.
Our recommendations start and end with what’s right for you — your goals, your budget, your life in Portugal — not with anyone’s listings or agenda.
Including when it isn’t what you hoped — even when it’s “Portugal might not be your move.” We’d rather tell you straight than tell you what sells.
